Low coolant light 97 LT1

Today the low coolant light came on this morning and i checked the coolant level and everything was ok, since it's been doing this the car has not over heated or anything. But it came back on again does anyone know the reason why, someone told me that it was the sensor and if so where can i find it too clean it.

Thanks

............and then clean it, check the wires and plug it back in.

Could be that the sensor went or is going out.

I think mines been on for a year or so, I figured it complimented the other warning lights on the dash, so I left it

Go to Autozone and pickup a new sensor. I fought this problem for 3 weeks...cleaned it, etc. A new sensor solved the problem.
