low coolant light
low coolant light
Have a question on the coolant sensor light. Noticed today coming home that the low coolant light in dash came on. The temperature gauge stayed in the normal area, and I stopped to check for leaks. Found nothing leaking, level on coolant tank was actually a little above the hot mark, and engine ran just fine. I recently replaced the opti and water pump, thermostat, antifreeze, and have not had any issues with this before. I let if cool off and took the radiator cap off to check for low fluid, it was full. So just wondered if anyone else has had this happen and any ideas on what else I could check. thanks
Re: low coolant light
The sensor is prone to failure. You can replace it or disconnect it. I disconnected mine long ago.
As long as your radiator and overflow are consistently full and you're not having cooling issues, you should be good.
