Low Coolant Light

Low Coolant Light

my low coolant light keeps coming on...but the coolant is fine its full pretty much...and it's clean too?

could it be the sensor? if yes...where is the sensor located? and how much is it to replace?

low coolant sensor. part number on shoe boxes site. grey square box about 4-5 inches below radiator neck on passenger side. cant miss it. 35-40 bucks is cost. do it urself takes about 10 minutes. including draining refilling radiator fluid.

I did the same a few weeks ago with no problems. I wouldn't spend the money to replace it as it will eventually fail again. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I think I've read on this site GM stopped using them in 01 or 02 on our cars because they realized they were junk.

My 93 Formula does the same. I checked my fluids, and everything was pretty much topped up. It sounds to be a little common

Correct LS1's dont even use em. I've just unplugged mine and didnt worry about it.
