low coolant light = backfires

after a few minutes of driving my low coolant light comes on. once that happens, whenever i let off the gas from cruising speeds my car backfires and kinda chugs down to lower RPMs. i am almost positive these 2 are connected cuz my car does not have this problem unless the light is on.
this also happens when i go WOT.

the low coolant started sometime in november righ b4 i put it in storage, just a few weeks after EWP install. the first few times it came on i checked the coolant and it was full, after a few times of it happening i tried to bleed the system and there was no air. and my car does not overheat, stays right at 165* in traffic.
just throwing all that out there incase something in there will give a clue to y this is happening!
thanks in advance, brian

lol, trust me i did not want to post this due to them having nothing to do with each other. but after a week of driving the car it only happens once the light comes on. i checked enuff times to where i did not think it was a fluke.

no idea unless your car is loosing coolant onto the plug wires or the opti causing an arching misfire.

I would try replaceing the coolant sensor, these tend to go bad on camaros alot. Im guessing you have exaust in which case the exaust sound is normal.

Ground problem maybe....
Doubt, the voltage coming into the wiring harness inside the car would cause a short, but maybe....
Otherwise the two have nothing in common.
