I have a 95 Z28 & when I turn the lights on, the Low beams barely "bleed" over into the high beams and fog lights. The low beams are at full power & the others should be out but are barely shining. My low coolant warning light illuminates on my dash, and the right turn signal indicator on the dash just barely illuminates. It gets even stranger when I switch the fog lights on, the right front headlamps go out and the turn signals quit working. As long as I don't turn the lights on at all, everything seems to work correctly. I assume I have a short or more likely a bad switch. I have disconnected the battery to reset everything & the problem comes back. I'm hoping these cars have a history of maybe a certain switch going bad in them. Otherwise I could be looking at a lot time troubleshooting this problem. Any thoughts or suggestions?

 

Could be the switch, but I have my doubts. More likely a wiring issue, IMO. You are probably going to need some wiring diagrams and a meter to track it down. You could probably start by looking at all the connectors on the lamps, making sure there is no corrosion.

 

Mine did that. Check you grounds, mainly the smell ones above your headlights.

 

My best bet would be a bad ground somewhere, the hard thing is finding it....
