Low 13's people.....What you got?

Ok, I am thinking about throwing on a set of Hooker LT's and some 3.73 gears. Mods I have are hooker catback, gutted cat, k&n, ported MAF, TB bypass, new tires (if that counts).

Are low 13's possible? If no, what else should i look into.

Cam, rockers, lifters, head work, etc. may be in the future too. Any help is appreciated.

I went 13.4@104 with a 2.17 60'. With a better launch I could hit a lower 13.

I hit 13.5 @103.7 with a K&N intake, meziere waterpump, SLP headers, off road pipe and flowmaster catback. I could have done low 13s with a good stall converter at that point.

Here is my progression.

Only thing not on there is since my cam i went 3x 13.0x@ 111.x at beaver springs, a slow track. Picked up 5mph but only 2 tenths. Couldn't get the car to hook. There is definitly a lot more potential there when i go back to maple grove.

I went 13.09@106.82 with ASM headers, Random Tech Cat and Cat Back, Nitto DR's, OEM Ram Air equipment, hypertech powercoil, pcmforless tuning, 160* tstat, and a B&M ripper.

My car has 3.73's, a hi-stall torque converter, Shorties w/SLP cat back, K&N w/ factory Ram Air, aluminum drive shaft, Transgo shift kit w/corvette servo, throttle body bypass & 160 thermostat. I run on Nitto DR's and run 13.3's @101mph or 102mph consistantly. I would run faster except I can't get off the line hard. My best 60 ft is 1.8 and I launch just barely over an idle. If I could stand on it a little harder I am sure that high 12's are within reach. My car was in the GMHTP LT-1 shootout with the previous owner. He did run a 12.9 @ 104.88, but didn't run that well in the shootout. I think he had the air pump off, sway bar out, and a gutted cat. He made the car legal before he sold it. It still runs great. Keep at it you will get there.

With everything you listed in there (heads/cam) you could be low 12s....

Low 13s? Get some suspension too, you can't forget about that. 13s are a lot easier with a 2.0 60' than with a 3.0 60'

13.57 @104 w/ 1.97 60'

Stock engine (94 LT1) w/ CAI and FLP LTs (open). M6, 4.10s. Spohn rear suspension and TA, Prokit. Prostars, ET Drags and skinnies.

Fear of scattering my 10 bolt holding me back from harder launches, shifter is balky on 2-3, and I need more practice. Mike

Went 13.35 @ 104 with just most bolt ons. K&N cai, GMS MAF, Air-foil, 160* stat, custom programming, 3.73's. Through stock manifolds, stock cat, stock converter, running 2.0 60 ft. times. I think custom programming helps the most (it brings out all the potential of all your mods). With a 3200 vig, I could have went 12.70's probably.
