Re: loudmouth noob question

I wouldnt blow cash on a highflow cat, little gains for big moeny. Lingenfelters Supertube CAI kit gives you 12rwhp on a stock engine, I bet the LM is good for another 12-16rwhp. Both put together you'll definately feel a difference. I felt a gain from my GMMG alone, and then some more from the LPE peice. Lingenfelter sells the supertube for like $150 and I am not sure of the price on a LM but $250 seems pretty low, just make sure its a 93-95 style or your going to fab up some exhaust pipes.

Re: loudmouth noob question

Yea I forgot they are engineered for LS1's and need the kit to fit the Y-pipe right. Gains are just guesses, but you'll feel some. The Lingenfelter one is much better in my opinion, bigger filter, about the size of a 2 liter Coke bottle. Also $50 less.

Re: loudmouth noob question

www.lingenfelter.com to find one new. They are the cheapest effective CAI out there. The filters are K&N and are cleanable if need be. Airfoils dont do much, there isnt much variance from one brand to the next. The LPE CAI is plastic and wont rust, but I dont think the SLP one will either.

here is a k&n for like 20 more but does it come with cleaning kit or no, and will the lingenfelter one come with a cleaning kit? so do you think the lingenfelter one will have at least 1hp more than the k&n?
thanks

Re: loudmouth noob question

No kit with the LPE one. I think the LPE is a better design and it has a much larger filter unit.
