Loudmouth or Borla????

I want to run my exhaust as open as possible. And these two exhausts seem to be the best for it.

So out of the two which would you rather have? SLP loudmouth or Borla adjustable catback???

Also whats the price on both of them? Including the adapter for the Loudmouth?

Any sound clips i would appreciate as well.

Well thats about all. Im not worried about how loud it is either. I love loud. My cut-out isnt even loud enough :P

And my SLP 2OTL although has a EXTREMELY beautiful sound. Is very very quiet.

So this is almost kind of an appearance mod of sorts since the cut-out will stay open unless the Open Borla or Loudmouth turn out to be actually louder.

You've already got my favorite sounding cat-back system(2OTL) for the LT1. Throw on some headers to make it sound even better and louder. A cam with some lope will help a lot too!

LM is nothing but an overpriced straight pipe set-up. Any exhaust shop can make you this for half the price. Not to mention it already sounds very similar to a cutout.

And for the price of Borla, you could buy some headers(unless you already have them).

Just keep what you have and add some other stuff like I mentioned.

Loudmouth is very free flowing and gives you a deep sound. The Borla gives you a more refined sound but a lot of people feel it's over priced and poorly constructed. However, a cutout gives you about the same sound and flow as a loudmouth and is only $25.

I might lean more towards a Borla myself since I prefer the sound but since you prefer the flow I would get the Loudmouth.

if you already have a 2OTL and a cutout, just get headers. no catback will beat the flow of a cutout, so you might as well keep what you got. if i were you, i would spend the money on headers and leave well enough alone.

To me, both are overpriced, esp. the borla. I also don't like the tips on the borla. I happen to think that there are too many with borla. Get something used, how bad can a set of exhaust pipes actually get (if they are stainless steel at least ). If I had to do it again, cai and catback would be bought used.

Sorry guys forgot to mention my mods. not used to the changed sig yet.

I have a full induction/exhaust already.

gutted cat, headers, cut-out, SLP 2OTL.

200LS1Z28 i agree with you. The 2OTL has the sweetest sound in the world. Though i bought mine off a 97 SS or a 96 i forget. And its so quiet to me that i sometimes wonder if i got one with that thing that quiets it down inside.

As for the Borla and Loudmouth. I really just wanna be annoying I love loud and rough. And the whole point on a new exhaust is for looks and loudness really.

Personally i like the Borla tips and the Loudmouth.

If i was really rich id throw on a B&B tri-flo

Hmm still cant decide between the two. Borla has its points. Loud and refined. And the loudmouth is loud, has to flow the best(even though its such a small amount), but the loudmouth is cheaper as well.

though not by much i think i saw it for like $599????

Eh who knows maybe ill flip a coin

Out of those 2 I'd take the loudmouth. Borla is too $$ & not woth the $$. I'd tkae my Hooker over either of those though.

Didn't the stock 2 on the left have a silencer. I know when you don't have the silencer it sounds much better and louder.

My brother has Mac headers, off-road pipe, and Borla on his car. It sounds awesome in my opinion. I was going to get Loudmouth but the sound of my brothers car convinced me otherwise! Just my opinion!

No sense paying the extra money on adjustability if you don't intend to use it. That leaves you a couple of hundred dollars you could use on another mod.
