loud squeal
Its really hard to diagnose anything by just a description of sound, but it cant hurt to pop ur valve covers off and let it idle and make sure that each pushrod has oil coming out of it, you should see a pretty good flow of oil over each rocker
Is it an automatic or manual car?
If manual, it could be the throwout bearing. If automatic it would have to be somethnig else. There isn't anything inside the engine that will squeal from lack of oil. Grind, crunch, and pop but no squeals....
Wait..I just though of something. Does itonly do it when starting or does it continue when the engine is running? If it's a squeal on start that goes away it's a starter issue...you might need a shim.
