Loss of power

Loss of power

My car hasnt been running like it used to lately, feeling like there's a loss of power somewhere. the car was running real rich and i got an SES to change my o2 sensors, so i did. i changed both sensors, all the plugs, and put a set of magnacore plug wires on her. the car started to run ALMOST back to normal, but it still didnt feel as strong as she used to. a day later, the car went back to smelling a little like gas, and when i step on it, she doesn't move like she used to. there's deffinately something wrong here but i can't figure it out. anyone got any suggestions? she's starting to get sluggish again, but without any SES codes.

this is like almos the same thing going on with my 94 firebird formula, please someone help!!

how would you go about cleaning it? and how would u know if it needs to be cleaned?

well it should be regularly cleaned around the time an air filter should be swapped, so go get a can of maf cleaner from autozone, oreilly w/e for like 5 bucks and clean it. try cleaning the throttle body blades and throat too, they have cleaner for that as well

can this cleaner be run thru your engine or do you have to pull the throttle body off?

took my maf off last night and hosed it down pretty clean... still runs like ****. disconnected the maf sensor, still ran like ****. it sounds like a diesel truck when i get on it... the car shakes a lil and doesnt even chirp the tires when i have it on WOT. wtf could be the problem?

i have lt headers that go into a 3'' y pipe. no cats.

not sure... i dont remember. i'll have to check it out. i actually had my buddy put them in for me since he was changing my spark plug wires, so i'll have to ask him. dude... the car was running fine for like 2 or 3 days after i changed the plugs/wires/o2's, and then i noticed the gas smell and before i knew it, the car was bogging on me when i'd hit WOT

i am having a similar problem... so i called Ion (the madtuner.com tuner) and he said it is more than likely the bosch o2 sensors... my ran fine for a while after putting the bosch sensors in also... now it hesitates and doesn't pull hard at wot...
i haven't got the ac delco ones yet but i will be changing them...

What year is your car? Are there any exhaust or intake leaks? Do you have access to a fuel pressure gauge?

Same problem here. Changed plugs, wires, opti,sensors and cat.
However mine only starts after a half hour or so when it gets hot, shutters, no power and a slight burning smell with black exhaust smoke.
After it sits a few hours or so, works fine until it warms up again.
Can't figure it out with no codes showing.

1995 lt1. it stumbles when i give it gas, and it's REALLY hard to peel out on WOT going into second gear. yesterday i kept giving it a few WOT passes and i think at the 3rd one it started to act a little bit more normal than it has been. you think it could be an ignition or fuel pump problem?
