It looks like I have no spark. I finally got my intake on and all the other thingys and I smell gas, but it appears I have no spark.
It ran fine before and the Opti is new.
Car turns over great, but It wont fire. The only other different thing is after I stop cranking, it will will catch a little but by looking at the alternator it was spinning backwards for a few seconds, it had to be firing a cylinder or two cause big puffs of smoke came out the intake.
Anyone else have a simular type problem and it was something unsual ?

if u did an opti swap which Im guessing-

You could have put it in 180 degrees out of timing if you have a 93 or 94. Some plugs will fire in this case.


Check your grounds on the coil or could be a bad coil.

 

The opti was not touched, but the coil was removed/reinstalled.

 

You can't put an Opti 180* off on a 94 with spline drive. It only goes 1 way.
