I am in the morket for a set of Stage 2's. just do not know where I should go, there are so many people who sell them. What heads are everyone running, got some dyno/flow numbers?

im doing the same research myself.

so far id say youre safe to with

advanced induction (phil)
combination motorsports (seth)
lloyd elliot

those are the only 3 i havent found any bad comments about their head work, and they all seem very knowledgable.

theres members on this board pulling about 115 mph trap speeds with each of those guys heads, with a cam and stock bottom ends, boltons.

I have been talking to Craig at GTP Racing, they seem really straight forward, and I have yet to hear a negative comment about the company or thier heads, i might end up getting me set of these.

http://gtp-racing.com/

The stage 2's have 2.02/1,57 valves and flow 280/210. the run about 2400 dollars, the price is kind of high, but I don't mind if the quality is worth it.

If your willing to pay the price...
Ask GTP if they will guarantee all your money back if the heads dont flow as advertised.... make sure its written down somewhere, to you or on there website. Order it. Put it on a flow bench (i dont think it costs to much at all). And if its acceptable your good to go.

Stage 2 is something that came from Gran Turismo. There is only one way to match the heads to your cam, intake, and exhaust system. Anything else is half-a$$.

Go with Phil at Advanced Induction or
Lloyd (Nighttrain66)

Let them port the heads to your specs.... Good luck.

I agree with you, well kinda. You should always match your air in to your air out setup, that's agiven. But stage 2 did in fact not come from gran turismo(if your refering to the video game). That term has been around for decades, even when my dad was building cars.

As far as the price for GTP's heads, if they will flow the number they say, I say it should be worth 2400 dollars. Those are great flow numbers, and that is what they flow @.500. I bet it gets better as the lift increases. The pre-flow all thier heads before they send them to you, and they send the flow chart to your heads in the box. They say 280/210 is thier minimum, but the have put some stage 2 heads out that are flowing much better than that.

Call seth at combination motorsports. He will do the right thing. I guarantee it. We spent about 45 min today discussing my cam, heads and monkeys in lab coats... mostly the first two though...

Here is an email conversation I had with Sstroker Ace

The guy who is doing my $10K BBC head for the Engine Masters contest used to work for the head porter who does Combo's Stuff. He said " No wonder their stuff is so good."
If you dont know him- look in advanced tech. Hes the guru

Not bad for $1500 and you can keep your old heads. Just the bare heads, valves and sprigns are worth $500 ish

ive read a few posts about GTP heads being flowed independently and not living up to their numbers.

just a word of caution (for ANY company)........im going to have my heads checked after i recieve them (make sure its on the same type of flow bench, using the same methods) regardless of who does them.

btw.......seth at combo does seem like a great deal.......havent seen anyones dyno numbers with his heads/cam tho.

So they have no kind of core charge? I looked on thier site for an email address for someone to talk to but I came up short, do you have one for them. I am stationed in Japan right now so it is kind of hard for me to make phone calls. The time change and the longdistance charges are stupid expensive.

How much are you looking to spend? I would talk to phil at advancedinduction.com. I have never heard anything bad about quality or service from him. He also has the power numbers to back up his work.
