looking to run a different setup on my coolant lines need help

my one coolant line got a hole in it. the line that goes to the heater core,it the driverside coolant line,i'm not sure if it is in or out??? anyways,it has a check vavle on it,and i was wondering if i could bypass that check vavle, and just put on a new rubber hose the whole way,or if there was another way to put another checkvavle in a rubber hose setup?? the new lines come in a kit and they are 150 dollars from gm,and just don't want to spend that much money on a piece of rubber and couple of aluminum piece's.. any help would be great.
thanks.

car in sig.

On my old 93 I took out all that and just ran straight heater hose through it. Later I removed the heater core but that's a different story all together. LOL
