Question Looking for LT's with good ground clearence.

I have been looking at different headers for a while now. I would like to get some LT's if at all possible but their is one problem facing me. The area in which I live has big speeds so most LT's would not work because they would just get scraped 2+ times a day. The only headers I know of that do not affect ground clearance is DynaTech LT's (I have heard this but I'm not 100% sure). If I cannot find no LT's that suit my needs I will just go with some SLP shortys which are about as good. Can anyone recommend any good LT's that won't scrap?

I've got pacesetter LTs they dont usually scrape but there is one shopping center with those big and wide speed bumps and it scraped there the other day, but only scraped when i went left, not when i came in, but anyway they dont usually scrape at all and i do some high speed hill driving if ya know what i mean...no scrapes

Eh, odd, my Hookers have never scrapped even once. Not to mention I live in the country with unevenly warped chip and seal roads, probably the most terrible and bumpy tracks and several speed bump areas to get to my job daily. If my car was lowered, I'd be more worried or if you have the car loaded with large people.

But I know TPIS is another known for good ground clearance.

The one thing you dont want is the Mufflex Y, now that can cause some problems. It hangs much lower than the Hooker brand one.

If you go with Mids go for AS&m first, then RK Sport, then SLP.

friend has hooker LTs and his scrapes on almost every speed bump, even if he goes over them almost completely sideays one tire at a time.

Don't get JetHot LT's. I have them with the mufflex Y pipe and then I lowered the car. I scrape on everything!! In fact the other day I had three people in the car and it scraped on several of those reflector things pasted to the highway in the middle of the road. I need to raise it a bit and get another Y pipe

My Dynatech's tuck very tight to the chassis..You can barely see them, when you bend down, to luck under the car.

i have jet hots, and the lowest part of the evhoust is where the pipe goes under the cross member, or the h-pipe. but the headers themselves have only drug once or twice. but as far as real world results go, i think i would go with shorties next time. a buddy of mine went from shorties to jet hots, under 2000 rpm he gained a little but above that no real differance if any.

See that is what I'm trying to figure out, is their a major difference between LT's and shortys. If not then I see the shortys as being the best option IMO. Problem is I like SLP and SLP's prices don't like me.

I also have Dynatech long tube headers with a custom y-pipe and the ground clearance is great just as everyone says. I also have the Eibach Pro-kit lowering springs and have only scraped twice on some nasty, tall speed bumps I couldn't avoid. BTW, I will have my Dynatech long tube headers and custom y-pipe up for sale here in this coming week!
