Looking for feedback on 1LE/LS1 driveshaft

I was about to order 1LE, but wanted to see some feedback about what more peopleare using. I thought people were using LS1 cause there are easier to get and more around.

I thought the 1LE was smaller diametere but thicker metal wall, were the LS1 had larger diameter and smaller wall.

Any advise on the two. I'm looking to order today so.........

Thanks everyone

Well priced the two and 1LE was $235
LS1 was $285

So my question now is, would going LS1 be worth the extra money cause if so then i would be better off going LPE aluminum driveshaft for $300

Personally,I like the strength of my steel shaft.I guess I am one of the lucky ones without vibrations. My choice would be in this order- LPE -1LE-LS1

I have a 1le.

If you do a search, you may find some references to the 1LE being stronger than the ls1. I'm sure that nobody actually tested them, but that was the claim some people where making.

I got my 1LE for $235 shipped from Jason Cromer about four months ago, his price shipped on the LS1 was about $10 less for the LS1. The 1LE uses stronger Spicer u-joints and as mentioned it has thicker walls than the LS1. I've seen a few broken LS1 driveshafts and have heard of many more, I have only heard a few stories of someone breaking the 1LE. Not saying it can't be broken or anything but it seems that it can take more abuse than the LS1.
