Looking at 94 z28 with 104k..what do you think?

Its a black 94 z28 with a speed and 104k. The guy is about 65 and has used it as his daily driver since 38k miles, never raced or abused always well maintained. I can get it for 4800. What do you think? Being that i am in highschool and have earned all the money myself, i dont want to waste what its been so hard earning. I just want to have this car for a few years, as i will probably end up selling it when I get older and have more money. Do you think this is a good deal? And im just hoping to get 15-20k miles out of it. Is the lt1 able to stand up to that with good care and maintenence? Alright thanks.

Re: Looking at 94 z28 with 104k..what do you think?

my '94 TA made it to 115k miles without major issues before sellling it...my '94 camaro had 135k on it when i swapped out the cam (subsequently had problems after swapping the cam...but probably would have been good for many more miles wihtout me having tore into the engine). So yes, with good maintenance they will last a long time.

I sold my '94 TA for $4,500 for what it's worth. It was an auto and in really good shape.

Thats alot of miles but it seemed to be treated pretty good...If the LT1 was taken care of it will run fine w/ that mileage...IMO Id look for a lower mileage car

www.kbb.com...

That price seems a little high for having 104k miles. Is he flexible at all, try to bargain with him if your serious about the car.

M6, T tops? Find out when/if the clutch was done as well as the opti.

In the spring I paid 4750 for a 94 M6 with T tops with 133k miles, new clutch/opti. I ended up having the roller of the lifter get a flat spot...so it happens...but I don't see a problem purchasing that car if the opti and clutch are ok.
