was the LT4 in the zr-1?
Delteq is some kind of ignition system?

Re: Lookin for info

I would suggest Google and the search button on this site.

The LT4 was not in the ZR1-the LT5 was.

The delteq replaces parts of the opti but it still uses the signal the figure out the crank position...i think lol. Its expensive but it would be nice to have on a more extreme setup or if you get sick of you opti going out.

Re: Lookin for info

you've got a lot of searching ahead. the lt4 was basically an lt1, but with a 4 bolt main block, and raised runner intake. heads have a raised intake runner as well. there are probably more technical differences, but that is the general difference that matters to most. the lt5 was the zr1 motor. i took a recent visit to the vette museum for the 2nd time. many zr1 motored cars in there. i lost interest when noticing that you'd apparently have to take the intake off to change the distrubtor cap (or whatever type of distributor/distributorless system is used on the lt5). too much of a PITA!!
basically, you'll see 4 main cams mentioned all the time on the boards. the lt4 hotcam, the cc306, XE 224/230, and the cc305. these are all performance cam grinds that people use in builds on cam only, or head and cam cars, etc. doing searching on performance parts is neverending, so don't waste your time on google. search this site and you'll find much more useful info from average people.

It's ok if you want to disagree with me. There is a heck of a lot of good reference stuff you will find with Google that you won't find here. A newbie needs info from all the sources he/she can get.
