look at my plugs...what could cause this?
i just did my plugs and wires, the car has 56K miles, and i bought it with 39K miles. to my knowledge the plugs are original (wires at least were).
i have heard stories about certain plugs being so difficult to get to that mechanics didn't bother to change certain ones (even though they said they did...crooks!).
as i did my plugs, i pulled the first 7, they all looked like this one. BUT when i pulled the last one, the farthest back on the passenger side, it looked significantly different. what does this look like? could it be just an old plug while the other seven are newer? or could there be something else wrong?

like you said, they were probably changed before and they didn't do that one. If you're concerned after you finish changing them pull that one after a few weeks and see how it looks then, my guess is it will be fine, there are a lot of lazy mechanics out there.
