Longtubes Or Roller Rockers

What would be a better mod for a cammed car. Going from edelbrock shorties to longtubes, or 1.6 roller rockers. I know my cc306 needs rrs,but I was thinking of just doing the headers and then doing the rockers later. What do you think would give me the best gains for now. ( gotta love my STUPID QUESTIONS )

Umm.. Long tubes!!! with stock heads 1.6rr's with that cam will give you maybe 3-5hp gain max, LTs will give you 40hp with that setup bro maybe more.

I seriously doubt your going to see 40hp with a mildly modded motor going from shorties to LT's. Most people that I have seen get somewhere around 10hp, which is about the same as rockers...and rockers are cheaper

Longtubes are a lot of work and you need the rest of the exhaust to pick up any real gains from them since you already have shorties. It doesn't do much good to put on big headers and then stifle everything at the Y pipe. If that happens you won't pick up diddly in performance.

Sounds like you are at a point where you want to start thinking about where you plan on going with the car before you do it.

My thoughs exactly. If you plan on y-piping back into the same single exhuast your already using, then why bother.
