Longtube Exhaust suggestions

I just put on a set of longtubes with an off road Y pipe. The has loudmouth on it right now and needless to say it sounds like crap. What are some cat backs that sounds good and quite down the noise with longtubes?

We have ran a SLP 2OTL catback behind Hooker longtubes and a offroad ypipe. Sounded pretty darn good I thought.

Any cat back with an actual muffler should help you out. However, the raspiness will probably not go away as long as you are running without cats.

My SS wasn't raspy when I was running no cats. I got compliments all the time.

get a dynomax bullet muffler welded in place of the resonator. All raspyness will come to a stop

Bwuahahaha....well maybe the longtubes quiet down the GMMG cause with stock manifolds its mean as hell.

No seriously I like the way xxsaint69x's 20TL sounds with LT's. Its also prolly the most free flowing catback's since it doesnt utilize crossflow. GMMG is the only other one that doesnt that I know of. The Exhaust isnt fighting against itself to get out one side or the other.

Obvious plain Janes that come to mind are Hooker and Magnaflow.

I was thinking about the Hooker catback or Magnaflow. Anyone have these setups. Anyone have a sound clip?

everyone loves their hookers on this board, but they are suseptible to rust i think. im like the only person who has spintech but i like it. apparently its an expensive muffler though. i bought the car with it.

dont do flowmaster for sure because they have entirely too many baffles. i think a fairly straight through dynomax or hooker will do you fine. i have sound clips of my spintech but its not on a website so youd have to email me. ryanas@comcast.net

I liked the sound of loudmouth when it had the stock manifolds and a cat. Now I put on the longtubes and an offroad Y and I dont like the sound anymore.

Hey Justin,
just get the Magnafow. I have it on mine and it sounds great! I'm sure you've already heard/seen the clip.
You can't beat the price either. (check ebay)
