long tubes pain in the butt
Re: long tubes pain in the butt
Really?
I swapped my hookers out for pacesetters this morning. From the time I got the car up in the air, to setting it back on the ground. Took all of 3.5 hours... And that's including re-running the plug wires since the driver's side didn't like my OTVC set up. I thought the pacesetter install was a breeze actually.

Re: long tubes pain in the butt
i had to do all mine from up top. now that i drove it it is by far the best sounding car i have ever heard and not just saying that cause it is mine try the eldbrock rpmseries exhaust with 3 in tips it sounds like a pro stock dragster when you rev it and at 65 mph it really isnt to loud
Re: long tubes pain in the butt
LT's+ORY with bullet+Corsa > all!
But really, these cars sound great with LT's and a decent catback. I drive around just to hear it sometimes, puts me in a good mood!

Did u notice any gain?
Re: long tubes pain in the butt
The car's still in the shop, getting a custom 3 to 3.5 inch y-pipe made. I doubt I'll gain anything. Now... Once I install these LE2 heads (this w/e I hope), I'd like to gain a little sumpin' sumpin' .

. I was just looking for a new set of LT's since my Hookers are 3 years old, and dinged up. Was going to just replace them w/ a set of new Hookers, but the #1 primary slip fit tubes aren't made to the same spec. that they used to be. There's a literal 1/16 gap in them now, and that's even w/ a thick jet hot coating. I only know this because my friend has been through 3 sets and all the slip tubes fit was less than decent . The pacesetter's have a different routing path for the #1 tube and are one piece on the driver's side. Plus.. At the price they can be bought @ under a GP. You can't go wrong.

They installed easy.. Plus, I had access to a lift for my buddy to use my car as a test mule for a true dual exhaust jug
. In exchange, I got a good deal on the y-pipe
