Question Long tube headers and plug wires?

I am wondering once long tube headers (hooker or Jet-Hot) are installed, is it still possible to route the stock spark plug wires the same way as the factory installation?

My car only has 16,000 miles on it. Therefore, I would like to use my original wires if at all possible.

Thanks!

yes it's possible I done it.... but it's a pain for the pass. side. you have to take off the altenator to get to them....not very hard but a pain to do.....the drivers side will just go right up in from the bottom hope that helps

Mine are in the stock location on the drivers side. On the passenger side I went between the engine block and the acc. bracket(I put sleeves on the wires where they would touch the block and bracket). Some stratigic zip ties make sure they stay in place away from headers. I would reccomend using "firesleeves" on the plug ends to help protect them. Mine have been run like this for 3 yrs with no problems.

You can do it and as long as you keep the wires off the primary you will be okay. I would recommend goin with the taylor ovtc kit. Imo it looks a lot better and your wires will have a lot less chance of getting burned up.

I thought I did good buy buying a 97 with 46,000 miles.
What I did is buy heat shields and place them where the wire will or would come in contace with the primary. It's worked for about a year
