Lokar #5001 dipstick and stroker motor question
Do you have to modify the end of the Lokar dipstick tube like you do the stock one to make it work with a stroker motor? On my old stock tube, I had to trim the end for clearance. Do you have to do the same with these?
Thanks,
Eric

Yeah, the stock one wont work on my set up any longer. I built a turbo system using log style headers and the stock stick wont clear the header. I figured I can use a flexible one instead. Just wanted to know if I need to trim the Lokar one also.
Thanks

I made a custom stick from the Lokar lower body, and, used 1/2 alum tube on the top half. I had to use a -8an union with a -8an screw-on plug cap. I used the metal from a household snake I had. Cut to length and put a point on it with a 90* twist. Spot welded it to the hanger wire ( short piece) w/ (low current/ voltage MIG with a Miller matic 130). Then insert the heavy clothes hanger wire thru the -8an plug cap for a handle. It screws off, and, is always sealed. Turned out very good. My app... 97ss 383ss D1/ afr 190's/ Seimens 72# Inj/ Canton road pan/ M6 and others. Hope this helps and good luck. B.
