im getting these for a good deal, so ill be using them with my 503 swap.
what locks and shims/locaters will i need to use with those springs and retainers? stock heads and valves. only different things will be a set of 1.6 3/8 SA Comp Pro Mags.

What are the specs on those springs?
When you say you are getting a good deal---you can't possibly mean that GM direct is giving you a good deal----hell their shipping and handling fees are usually so high that they negate the supposed good deal on the parts----at least that is what I have been lead to believe.
I.e., if you haven't committed to buy the springs yet and find that they are too expensive compared to another place or another spring better suited to your needs, then you probably should reconsider your options. JMHO

Personally, I'd throw in another $50.00 and get some good springs from summit, e.g. crane 99893 w/ required retainers and 7 deg. locks.
The lift on these is well over 600 while yours are closer to 560 which is not that much to brag abouts given that your cam is 536/544. JMHO

im getting them free. and i was considering the crane kit with all the matched components however, i cant exactly beat this price so i figured id just buy the parts i need (locks and shims).
