Lloyd or Lloyd buffs, can you take a look at these?

I just picked these up off of ebay. The guy said they are LE2 heads, but I'm not possitive I believe him. Those look like beehive springs to me, and they definately have been ported, but I was wondering if anybody can tell if they in fact are LE2 heads. I'll get some better pics once they come.
I figure if they aren't, at least ebay has a $1000 protection on there, so I'll just be out time at the worst. I probably get a valve job done, too, if they aren't stock size. (And make him refund me the cost) These are the pics from ebay, don't know how much you can tell from these.

That was the other guy. Those are definately beehives on there and they look like they have a pretty good port, you can see how the gasket marks came right up to the opening, the only thing I was worried about was the valves. I figure at worst I just get a valve job and I'm still in the green.

Those are comp 918 beehives (blue stripe) Heads look good, best thing to do is get the guy's name and give lloyd a call. He usually engraves last names into the sides of the heads.

I'm assuming they haven't been run since the port job. If so those valves don't look new, they look like possibly stock valves.

How much you pay?

I saw the other thread, and they were used. They were just hottanked prior to selling and i think he said they were stock size valves

Re: Lloyd or Lloyd buffs, can you take a look at these?

I paid $1000 shipped, plus I get to keep my cores. So I save $300 right there, save about $40 shipping, and I can resell my heads for at least $175, and no tax, plus less down time. So I don't think I have been had, I might just have to pay for a valve job here in town, which won't be horrible. Can anybody else back up that Lloyd engraves the name on the side?

I figure Lloyd will see the thread and take a look. I don't want to bother him with his buisness email as he will effectively be loosing money here (since I'm not buying from him now) and he has been more than helpful already.

I have a pair of LE2 heads I bought from Denny M, and they have a DM stamped on the front of both of them. Don't know if that coincidence or not, but its not engraved, it looked to be stamped on there with a hammer/punch letters.

Re: Lloyd or Lloyd buffs, can you take a look at these?

Most places will use a hammer and stamp letters to stamp their company name or personal name. Cuts down on people trying to bring them back because something is wrong and turn out it was not the ones from that shop. My cousin owns a transmission shop and they do this. It is unbelievable how many people will get a transmission rebuilt and then turn around and bring a totally different one saying something is back and try to get it fixed under waranty

the seller should have a receipt from Lloyd. Compare it to receipts that Lloyd gives on his heads.

Re: Lloyd or Lloyd buffs, can you take a look at these?

Well a) you know your heads have stock valves b/c thats what the seller told the other guy who asked. b) in the ebay link you gave, the seller bought them off of a forum so who knows who actually got the heads done orig. c) the ebay auction said sold as is and all sales are final so idk about making him pay for a valve job. good luck though
