I hope a lot of people have seen this and more as I have the same parts and will be installing in car next week and looking forward to the feel of 375 or more in my 2900 pound Porsche 944 with LT1 power.

375 will not be a problem. CHeck my sig, I have the next smaller cam and mine would have done 370 if it wasn't a little lean. I think you can see 385 no problem.

Total Engine airflow sells a 400hp package that is the 230/236 cam and their CNC'd heads finished out by hand. THey will outflow Lloyd's best work but not by a lot.

You know, this is the second time a thread has come up that involves Lloyds stuff that you have made a comment about your car being down on power and made sure to include that you have his heads. You obviously have no idea what's wrong with your car since you keep asking, so maybe you should figure out why your low on power before you go stirring stuff up like that. If you find that the problem is the heads, by all means post something about it, but you can't go around just guessing.

i am sick of seeing serene post up about lloyd's heads and bashing them. but the power coming out his 383 does suck but i feel has nothing to do with lloyd's heads. he needs to do some research and find out what his problem really is instead of just giving the blame to lloyd.

Hmm ok. I acknowledge there might be a problem, havent ruled anyting out. All Im saying is that the car is running perfect right now, no misfires, no nothing. I am a whole cylinder down on power at least. I'm sure I would notice if a whole cylinder wasnt doing anything. And the power drops off at 5k rpm.

Did I ever say it was the heads? Nope, I think Lloyd is a good guy and he has been helpful to me.

How about instead of bashing my opinions, give me some ideas on what to look for on IMO a perfectly running car.

i can not tell you what is wrong with your car from behind this computer. it is just a shot in the dark to me, i have never even heard your car run. but all i know is that if it were me i would find out for sure what the problem with my car was before i got on this board with nothing but bad things to say about some heads that were ported for me. you are right only making 342rwhp on a 383 sucks but that kind of power could be made on stock heads. so i think it is pretty obvious that your heads are not the problem.

ill agree w/ that. my last friend w/ a similar 383 made 443rwhp at 6200rpm.

Make a new thread, be sure to include all mods down to everything that didn't come on the car from the factory. Tell the symptoms, give any track times and dyno graphs if you have them. If you have any datalog runs that would be nice too.

Yes. I don't have Lloyd's heads, but have no qualms about saying that if everything is properly running you should have no problem seeing 375 at the ground.
