Lloyd heads in!! Pictures inside
Re: Lloyd heads in!! Pictures inside
Sorry about the link. It is hosted off my personal computer and my internet is down for some crazy reason. I will get it back up soon.
Im thinking that it should be around 400-450 rwhp all things considering. Most people put down roughly 400 rwhp, but that is through an elbow, CAI, catback, steel driveshaft.....
Im thinking i can hit 450 on a dyno tune with firehawk induction, 3" true duals (flowtech afterburner mufflers), aluminum driveshaft, 10 bolt, 6 speed....
I also think i could get mid 11s with a decent launch. What is a good tire pressure to run on a 275 or 285 drag radials?
Just my thoughts, im a little optimistic

How much was it for the heads? That is basically the same set up I was looking at too. I just put the 306 in my car last week and had it dyno tuned last night and put down 351.2rwhp 364.9rwtq SAE through an auto.
Re: Lloyd heads in!! Pictures inside
Those are the same heads that I just got, and its $1200 COMPLETE.
That comes with Ferrea 6000 valves, comp 987 springs, titanium retainers, 10* locks, new seals, all machine work, etc. etc. etc.
If you want to look at mine before they go on the car call me @ 651-335-8376. They will be going on towards the end of this week/beginning of next.

well yes and no
i acctually know the specs of that cam and have talk to people that have that cam on a stock bottom end and for 95% of people, no it is not streetable. this cam needs hours no days of tunning. by someone that knows what they are doing. so for most of us no it is not streetable. i think you will see someone with 440rwhp with this cam and loyds heads on a stock bottom end real soon. and i dont think it will be a problem with with the right parts. people have made 420 on the le2 cam and the le3 i a pretty good bit bigger.
but let me say this my heads will be done in two weeks and im going with a le3 cam on a stock botom end for a while the it will go in a 383.
but im trying to be honest as i can. and i think it is not streetable for most of us. and this is coming from a person that think the 306 is kinda small.

Re: Lloyd heads in!! Pictures inside
with a 383 the le3 cam would be streetable right?? Horrible gas mileage I'm guessing but streetable. Would the difficultly of tuning change from a 350 to a 383?
