Lloyd Elliot Packages

How does this work? Do I send my heads and intake in to get milled or do they send me new one? Do these packages require many more parts for the install? What package is the best??

Typically you send him your heads and he ports them, installs the new parts and sends them back. There are different combinations that you can choose to best suit you needs/wants. Your best bet would be to contact Lloyd and discuss what your wanting to do. He can then recommend what'll work best for you.

Most people pick up a spare set of heads and send them in (mostly due to the 4-6 week wait time).
You can pick them up on most Fbody boards or eBay pretty cheap ($100-$200).
Grab an intake manifold while you are at it, well worth the investment.
You can sell yours once the LE stuff is installed.

You should expect to buy (at a minimum) rockers, guideplates, studs and a crapload of gaskets
I seriously suggest that you also invest in new hardened pushrods, bolt kit, lifters, larger injectors and a timing set.
I got most of the stuff I needed directly from Bret Bauer (The guy who designs LE's cams) and Summit Racing.

Good advice from James, and don't spend more than $50 or $60 on a used bare intake. That's minus shipping costs though.

I would talk to Lloyd about which package would be best for your goals. He has the three basic packages, LE1, LE2, and LE3, but he can do in-between stuff and other things to your needs and liking.

Lloyd is the man.

I have a brand new le2 setup for sale, includes the heads/cam/intake, all NEW for $1600 if your interested, PM me. I'm only selling because I picked up an le3 setup before I installed this.

When I purchased my LE2 set up, I was able to pay him extra for a set of heads he already had. Saved the trouble of shipping a set to him.

Yeah, but most of the time your paying extra for buying the heads thru them (Lloyd or whomever) if you don't have a set to send. And you can't blame them, it's their time and money. If a person finds a set, say in the for sale section, just have them ship them directly to Lloyd. Saves a little money that way. Instead of having them shipped to you and then you have to pay again to ship them to Lloyd.

I think Lloyd will rebuy your old set if you purchase a set from him... I'd check with him though before you take my word for it.
