Lloyd Elliot Heads

I've been pricing out aftermarket LT1 heads form companies such as Nu-Tek, AFR and TPIS. I've been hearing alot about this Llyod Elliot guy. I was curious what kind of prices he would charge to port my stock LT1 heads to match a XE224 or CC305 cam. Also, how long does it generally take him to do, and how can I get in touch with him. TIA.

I'll second that and highly recommend him as well. His price for a basic job is $400 but is going up to $500 August 1st so you might want to hurry. You can't get that level of performance for these prices in many places. Plus he hand ports.

A few days ago I sent my heads to Lloyd. Everyone seems to be very happy with his work, and his prices seem more than reasonable to me. Even with the small increase on Aug.1st I do'nt think you can go wrong with Mr. Elliot. Now if I can only figure out the best cam and still pass emissions I'll be a happy camper.

If you want that stuff it's extra. If he has to go to a machine shop he'll charge you whatever they charge him, and he will give you new valves etc. for what he gets them for (unless you provide.) His basic porting, w/o valve job, is top notch. And he'll talk you through every step of the way.
Email me if you want some pictures.

One thing that is awesome about him is that he is good about giving updates and info via email, ask a question, it will be answered by the next day in most cases.

I'm running 12.17 in good (not great) air withan M6 car at full weight. HP was about 375 thru a new 12 bolt. Lloyd does what he says he'll do. Very easy to talk to. These are not killer heads but a very good value IMO.

Lloyd just e-mail me last weekend with some real good news!

.100 66/49
.200 135/102
.300 187/137
.400 239/168
.500 266/186
.550 271/191
.600 274/194

I can't wait to have them back!
I pay $1200
That included Ferrea 2.00/1.56 valves, Comp 987 springs, 10 degree retainers, locks, locators, seals, machining for seals and locators, milling and porting.

He said it would take him 2 1/2 weeks... and that is exactly the time it took him

375 RWHP with a 306? Sounds like some big tuning issues, or maybe you got a budget port?

Remember stock head 306 cars are turning 355 RWHP from what I've seen.

Yes.... I personally experienced a 30rwhp loss w/ my 12 bolt KTRE. W/ my stock rear and 1LE driveshaft I had 345rw. A week later, w/ the 12bolt and 3inch steel driveshaft, I had 315rwhp .

.4 235/159
.5 268/177
.6 276/187

I would highly reccommend Lloyd...quality and customer service is TOP NOTCH!! He had my heads for 13 days and I would of let him keep them as long as he wanted! I would highly reccommend him. He is a great guy and very helpful...now if I could get the heads installed and put in the new motor, I'd be in business...go with lloyd you won't be disappointed.

intresting.

Although my head from combo costed another $300 or so-
JUST COMPARING FLOW NUMBERS (which isn't a valid way to compare heads at all, especially on different benches)-
my heads really flow a lot better down low. Up top around 500+ lloyds head catch up and by .600 they are in the same ball park/

from .100 to .400 I am averaging over 45cfm more
12cfm on the exhuast side .. but exhuast flow is weird and thats probobly an unfair comparison of how much power it will make. Seth was stoked about my exhuast.

after .400 we are relativly close and thats probobly more than seth wants me to say anyway so i'll just quit right there.

I got the same sized valves too on the intake. i think i got .1.60 exhuast valves
