Limits of stock crank???

How much power can the stock LT1 crank handle? I'm looking at building a forged LE2 H/C 383 with MAAAAAAAAYBE 100 shot. Looking for 550ish hp. Will the stock crank handle it or should I go with a forged crank of some sort?

a stock crank can take a pretty good damn beating. I know it will hold 550 hp for sure. Just make sure you keep the crank walk down with a splayed 4 bolt

my buddy ran one.....it wasen't really a driver, just a weekend car. It lasted 4 years, he sprayed a 175 hit...the car an mid-low 10's. It finnally spun a brg. and he sold the rotating assym and the other guy is still using it.....

But thats only one account. Most everyone would put up a few extra bucks for the insurance

Sounds like a plan... I think I'm going to run a scat forged crank, scat rods, and mahle flat tops... I figure I should be safe then

Leaves me about $500-$600 for machine bill, which should leave me covered. If my block is a 2 bolt will it get me by? Or do I need to buy a 4 bolt or have mine splayed?
