limited slip ?

last time i was at the track i notice my limited slip took a dump. it only has power going to the passenger side tire.

My question is could this cause more damage to the rear in any way? im going to order the OEM Zexel but i was just wondering if i could cause damage by continuing to drive the car.

YES. Stop driving the car and limp it to the shop.

Same thing happened to me last year. 1-wheel burnout at the track and drove her fine for 2 weeks. I then bought a replacement posi from a friend of mine and the burnt-out posi decided it's had enough... broke at the line.

If the posi is dying, get it replaced. Otherwise you're looking at a ~$150 tow to the shop once it snaps a spider gear, PLUS the replacement, PLUS any repairs for damage that occurs when the posi breaks (i.e. new axles like mine since the splines were tweaked).

you can get by in an emergency, or daily driving for a week or two, but the first time you hook HARD don't expect it to survive (i.e. don't go back to the track until its replaced).

Be sure to wear in your new limited slip easy. Don't launch hard for a hundred miles. I took it easy for 300 when I installed the 4.10s... it is quiet and hooks hard. www.chrismans.com
