Not really limited edition...There was a limited amount produced compared to what GM produced from 98+SS's..Prolly around 3000 of them made..96 SS should go from 10-13k depending on the conidition..I personally like the 97 since they have the newer interior/tail-lights

limited edition? , think hes sayin that just to juice up the sale...You can buy a LS1 SS for that price, and be alot faster

Since there were only like 104 LT4 ss's made and they are all white with orange stripes (not including the one SLP had painted orange with white stripes), it is extremely unlikely that particular car is an LT4 SS.

you preferred the newer taillights over the old ones? I'm not sure what it is about it but I think it looks better all red with just the the reverse lights and not the yellow..

I posted a thread a little while ago about some confuseing info on website that said a little over 400 initial 96' SS's had intake and exhaust and other mods that gave significant hp gains. Its somewhere on rstarr.net I believe but look up my previous threads and you should find it.

there were 109 lt4 ss's that were produced in -->97<-- This consisted of 100 made for chevy, and 9 made for hendrick motorsports. the 9 for hendrick were all signed by the major players from slp and rick hendrick.

in 96 i think the first 350~390 had ported heads and some other stuff. nothing TOO limited.

oh, and the ls1 does not own the lt1. both motors have merits, and ive seen STOCK for STOCK come out almost dead even. The lt1 seems to grab off the line while the ls1 plays catch up

The early 96's had extrude honed exhaust manifolds. SLP stopped doing them because there wasn't enough power gains vs the labor it took to replace them. The 96 SS's have the lowest production #'s of all the 4th Gen Camaros.

yea they are limitd. this was the first year they brought the SS back and only 2,263 made in the US in 1996. If it has t-tpos there were only 1309('m not sure the breakdown of hard top and rag top), of them made in the US in '96....what color is? is it a 6spd? does it have the suspension package? all these limit it even more.

People will always try and tell you stuff. Guy who sold me my 30th Anni Z said it was a Z28/SS. I knew they came out with a Z28/SS model but even those had the SS hood. He also put a SS dash plaque from SLP on it. Anywho, I kept telling him it was a regular Z28, but he wouldn't back off. Dumb moron. I bought the car anyways though...I wasn't trying to get an SS anyways...guy was a total tard.
