Lifting Motor

Lifting Motor

How do you lift the motor on the passenger side to install headers, unbolt the motor mounts is that on the motor or the bolts on the frame and where do i jack the motor at and do i have to disconnect the transmission too or anything or just unbolt some how and lift 3 inches

this is safe,i mean it wont mess up the tranmission or anything will i mean is the transmission able to move up 3 inches and be fine?

I unbolted the three bolts on the passenger side mount, then used a jack and 2x4s and jacked on the oil pan. I probably shouldn't have, but it didn't do anything, so that's cool.
Get the car up as far as possible before you jack the motor up. Depending on how far you get the car up, will determine how far you need the motor up.
