lifters

I recently ordered GM # 1249925 lifters for my 93 Z28.

I was sent a AC Delco # HL 124./With a GM #17122490 on the box. Are these the same?

Has anyone had this problem with, possibly, 'bait and switch'?

Thanks for any help that I can get with this problem.

Re: lifters

I'd say that you got the correct lifters.....seing that AC Delco makes many of the OEM GM parts in our cars .....

Re: lifters

A local Chev dealer said that the #12499225 is the upgraded performance lifter and the #171122490 is a standard lifter.

Thanks, but still confused...

Re: lifters

Sorry for the confusion but grateful for all the input.

Is the GM#12499225 lifter the same as the GM#17122490 lifter?

Re: lifters

Finally got the answer. The # 1712290 is for an individual lifter from the set of 16 lifters #12499225.
Thanks for the suggestions /answers to my problem.
But.. what is the adjustment/preload on them?
Anyone?

Half a turn past zero, then leave it alone. Try the oil holes facing forward since it doesn't matter. Then observe which ones get oil first on the first cold start with valve covers removed.
