Is there any way of draining the entire fluid content (11 or so pints) without removing the tranny??

Thanks

certain auto shops have a machine that pumps it out, its 85 bucks to do this but it sucks all the tranny fluid out of the system

I'm currently running Royal Purples Synthetic Tranny Fluid in my rebuilt (only 3K on it) with a Trans-Go shift kit and I love the stuff.... I also run it in my eingine and rear end.

Hey silvercam, where did you buy a rebuild kit from??? Or did the shop you took your car to order it??? I think I am ready for a rebuild. Please let me know. I see you have alot of mods, did you have it rebuilt to handle the extra power? that is what I am looking for.
Thanks,
Steve

Well a friend of mine bought the rebuild kit from a company he buys all of his stuff .. but I can't seem to remember it... I can get it though if you want it. I bought the three kits ( Transgo Shift kit, Rebuild Kit, and a Police Cruiser/ Taxi Kit.. supposed to make the tranny last longer with some stiffer springs and such and a bigger band) from the same company..... 104,000 mi on it.. wow you got your $$ worth out of it, it might be due a rebuild.. but as I always say.. If it aint broke... play with it until it is... then get a new one! Mine was rebuilt because it blew with only 39,000 on it .. course I was drag racing at the time.. I had a sprag gear blow and I lost my 3rd and 4th gears.. that and all of my clutch packs were pretty much gone. I also had it re-built for a harder shift... but what a better reason than it blowing up! It was pretty easy when you have all of the tools. the shift kit was kind of a PITA but all in all not to hard. Let me know if you want the companys name.. Later!
