Lets play "name that sensor"

I have a 97 SS and there is a sensor that I am not familiar with, I have more experience with a 94. The sensor is on the passenger's side of the intake manifold, it is round with an electrical plug and two air tubes, one of the air tubes goes to the air tube coming out of the wire loom that the fuel lines are coming out of. I know it must be something fuel related but whats its purpose? My 94 didn't have this sensor, this sensor is just forward of the rectangular sensor that I am used to normally seeing.

The other air tube connection is coming out of the bottom of the round sensor, where does this connection go?

Thanks
John

No not that one, that is the rectangular one I was used to seeing. On 97's there is a round sensor in front of that one with another electrical connector.

Thanks though, wasn't aware that sensor went to the evap canister.

Unhappy

OK figured it out, #11 is the vapor canister purge switch and #15 is the fuel tank evaporator control.

And #15 doesn't go anywhere, it is a vent.

Thanks for the help

11's purpose is to monitor the vacuum in the EVAP hose, so it can tell the computer if it is working as it should. This was required for OBD-II and OBD-I did not have it.

7 is the EVAP canister purge solenoid.

15 is a vent hose (just like it says on the diagram)
