less than a tenth...

That is all that stands between me and Shon's bolt-on LT1 record...

I went out for some testing last night and it went rather well...

First pass 11.945 @ 114.43, with a headwind
1.640 60'
7.616 1/8
89.38 MPH
11.945 1/4
114.43 MPH

Second pass 11.947 @ 114.83, with the same headwind
1.637 60'
7.633 1/8
89.75 MPH
11.947 1/4
114.83 MPH

Third pass 11.912 @ 114.98, with the wind letting up and slower 60'
1.694 60'
7.610 1/8
90.10 MPH
11.912 1/4
114.98 MPH

Final pass of the night 11.860 @ 115.09, after it cooled off a little
1.639 60'
7.562 1/8
90.19 MPH
11.860 1/4
115.09 MPH

I will post up the slips after I get camera batteries, I was hoping to have vids of it but the camera died when my wife started recording the first pass...

Way to go! Congrats.
How much does the car weigh, and what kind of tires are you using?

nice. I wonder if 1.7 rockers could get you there vs. 1.6 rockers. I read on ls1tech some guy gained a tenth and 2 mph, but weather could have been slightly different too.

The new tires are 26 X 9 Hoosier slicks, I just tried them out for the first time last night and I am still trying to get a feel for them...

I wish I knew the RW, it is light, I am hoping in the low 31xx range, it was 3190# last season and I know I took at least 50 - 60 # out over the winter, but lost track of all the weight I pulled. Actually I lost the paper that I wrote everything down on, when I started, so I couldn't compare it when I finished and there were a few months in between there so I couldn't rememeber them all...

I don't feel like messing with the rockers right now and I am going to work on getting the car off the line quicker, and get some more weight out...

If you take it to budds creek it should go a tenth quick.....that track always seems to be quicker.

3190# with you in it? I know you lost the paper but do you think you might be able to give a quick "of the top of your head" rundown of what was done to lighten the car? Congrats on the times.

3180 is what mine was with 240# driver before the hood and ABS deletion stuff.
I am guessing mine was 3150.

I would also like to know how you got to 3190 without the few pound reduction from K memember and a arms.

Nice mph there, you know 115mph is enough to get into the 11.50's with a better 60'? That is impressive for a stock engine. Goodluck Clint

Nah I backed out because I didn't think I would have the car ready in time, and would have to leave today if I was going, and we already made other plans after I backed out of the shootout...
