Leaky water pump

I'm thinking of replacing it with an alectric pump, but this is a daily driver and I hear electric pumps and daily drivers don't mix so well. Would I be better off replacing it with a stock wp?

I think they are plenty reliable. I've had one on my car for years.

It seems like a coin toss between electric and cam driven. Half the people love them, the other half don't. I drive about 100-120 miles a week, is worrying about whether or not th electric pump is working worth the 7 extra HP? Should I spend the extra $100 to get a monitoring system?

I say stick with a cam driven waterpump. Sure people have had no problems with their electric waterpumps, but there's also people who have had many problems with them. You don't hear too often about people having problems with brand new stock replacement waterpumps.

You can take the chance for a few extra horses, but I'd say stay with a stock replacement and find the extra HP elsewhere.
