If you want to fix the leaky intake you'll have to take it off and replace the seals. I'd recommend High temp RTV for the front and rear. (Its also a good time to get rid of any emissions if you do so incline )

Re: Leaky intake?

The above link does a pretty good job of explaning how to fix the problem.
If your careful you can just unclip harness disconect the fuel lines TB colant lines and EGR and pull the intake. The removal of the fuel rails and injector as well as the TB is an extra step.

One inportant note: let the RTV set up for a few minutes it will seal better in the end. I learned the hard way on truck years back.

If you search around on this board you'll find that our cars are know for a leaky intake, ****ty window motors ect.

I you search this board well enough you'll find an old discussion for just about anything. When I first picked up my car in started to have a grinding noise when pressed the clutch. I went out to start it the next day and it would start(seemed like the engine seized ). It was cold out and my truck was in the garage with the motor out, so I came in side and searched the forum. I found a thread that discribed the piviot ball coming loose so I checked it out the next warm day and come to find out the piviot bolt had come loose on the clutch fork. This mad the fork contact the pressure plate and hold the engine from turning.

Needless to say this forum can be a great resource!
