Leaking water pump drive shaft seal

Hey guys,
I think I've found my problem but help me out anyway. Is this seal damaged? It's new but I think I made a mistake installing it. It looks like it's been rolled inside out?

The '93 LT1 in my Vega has been run maybe 20 minutes. It's leaking oil like a pig. Oddly, it only begins leaking after the engine has been warmed up about 5 minutes. But, when it leaks it's bad. Within 10 minutes about 2'x2' on the floor is covered in oil. It's done a handy job of oiling up my previously clean install.

Anyway, I bought a new timing cover set this evening. I'm going to follow the advice of this thread: http://www.impalasuperstore.com/nais...TOPIC_ID=30984

I've already made the marker and am ready to install the seal. Is this seal the problem? Here are pics. Thanks.

That seal is damaged. Use the method in your link with cover installed and it won't leak.

Badly mangled. When like that, they leak terribly.

shoebox,
Oh yeah, it was leaking. As in spraying. Going into the garage after I put my boys down for a nap to fix the seal.
