Question Leaking from coolant crossover pipe

My car leaks coolant out of the driver's side coolant crossover pipe connection after trying to fill it after my engine rebuild. I re-used the same pipe and bolts but I installed 4 new rubber washers. Should I put some thread sealant on them and/or should I get a new set?? Thanks for all your help...

Exclamation

I wanna make sure I fix this right so I don't have to do it ever again!!! The GM Service Manual doesn't say anything about thread sealant but I have heard of people using that on the banjo bolts?? What should I do??

The same thing happened to me a week ago when I was putting coolant back in after my rebuild. Mine was on the passenger side though. I thought I had tightened it down enough but apparently not. I cleaned the threads on the bolt up with a wire wheel and put it back in with new rubber washers and it stopped leaking. I didnt use any sealer or anything. It sucked to hear the coolant start pouring out on the ground man! It freaked me out for a few seconds Anyway, that is how i fixed mine, hope you get yours taken care of. Good luck.
