I'm fairly sure that the gaskets are dry, but you have to use sealant on the head bolts.

I was told that it was not a good ideal to re-use the old bolts and gaskets, that may be your problem.

Just buy another set or go with the an fitting and hose.

It depends on how much coolant?
I had a couple of drops that were just residual from the Removal of the heads ect. no Drips since.

Well I checked out the car more today. I checked underneath and I didn't find much coolant. The only traces I found were on the starter and a little drop and the flywheel cover.

While the car was on the jack stands, I turned the car on and let it get hot enough to where the fans came on. While it was on, I didn't see ANYTHING dripping. I'm a little confused. I rechecked the pipe bolts and bone dry. Oh and the new bolts and new seals are on the passenger side.

I'm going to recheck everything tomorrow, it nothing then I will try and take a test drive again.

Is there anywhere at the bottom of the block where it can be leaking from?

Trust me, this is the fastest way to find a leak. I had to do it on my bro's '99 Camaro when coolant was disappearing...and we didn't know where it was going.....however his was mostly internal(head gasket problems).

If the system can't hold pressure, you will see it on the pressure gauge(it will leak down). This will tell you for sure if you have a system leak.

Actually I quoted you and I said that I was going to try that next, not sure what happened with the reply. Going to Autozone sometime this week. I didn't know they rented the tester for the cooling system. Thanks!

I did the test and well it looks like it was just residual from removing the heads. Pressured the cooling system and waited 5 minutes, and there was NO drop at all.

For those with concerns the part# for the cooling system pressure tester is #9300 and is $75. It does NOT come with the adapter needed for our cars. You also need part# 27118 and it's $30. On their mat is says for FORD CARS ONLY, which is not true.
