That 1-2 shift is a bitch if ya don't. I have coached drivers into doing the 7000RPM shift and consistently picked up .5 tenths, some more some a little less but the 10% rule holds pretty true even today.
These were not full on drag cars either. Most had a power peak around 6500 and fully dressed street cars.

We've seen different drivers try the same car the same day and get ETs that differ by many tenths.
BTW, Black6spdZ, where are you shifting?

The peakier the engine the more critical the shift points. I don't think this combo is very peaky, which makes it a little easier to drive.

ALL shifts and geared for about 1100ft but they didn't get to the 7200 fuel table end.
Different driver DO make a difference, mostly on a stick.
BTW this was manually shifting 4L60E's also.
A couple were Turbo350's.

Re: LE3 track times
since i didnt dyno the car before i went i started at about 6500 all the way through then went to 6700 or so which gave me the best results and one time through at close to 7000. All the shift point trap speeds were within 1.3 mph. When i go throught the traps my tach needle is about on the peg in 4th. I am wondering what is going to happen when i get the car dialed in with some lighter wheels on the back because i will probably pick up a few more mph yet. These times were ran with 295-35-18 tires on z06 wheels.

If ya are using the factory tach,it could be off 200 to 500 RPM's.

I'm impressed with your trap speeds (aka horsepower). Bet the other folks at the track were, also.
Re: LE3 track times
everyone was surprised, they all thought i was spraying and i let them check it out. plus it looks pretty stock under the hood. Now i need a 12 bolt, tires and some suspension to get the power where it needs to be.
Re: LE3 track times
just to give somethings to judge it by. I did 12.081 @113 mph with a nu-tek motor w/ a LT4 hotcam, auto, 2000 stall, stock suspension, rear, and 3.23 gear ratio on nittos with a 3700 pound race weight at Lebenon velley dragway.
With your mph and better 60 you should be 11's easy, keep practicing!

Good H+C package = a few thou
Running NA when everyone thinks you are spraying = PRICELESS

Are the tires drag radials? I noticed BFG has them in that size...
Or are they just regualar radials?
Awesome times by the way
Re: LE3 track times
355 covering the field is more impressive....

Re: LE3 track times
I was just talking to Bret a few minutes ago, i met a guy at E-town and he had a 95 LT1 camaro, 355, auto (smallish stall), Moser rear, M/T radials, corsa exhaust, headers, a mail order Madz28 tune with a LE2 package. Consistant 12.10's @ 116-117 mph, These packages really have improved LT1 ET's and power and make them more competive with newer tech.
