Hi, guy's I'm new to this message board and have a question, does anyone know the core charge for LLoyd Elliot's heads?? you see I have no core and was wondering the price, I notice that some sell the cores for 3,4hundred dollars. So please if anyone knows let me know.

Don't quote me, but I think Lloyd charges $350 if you don't have cores. Send him an e-mail to find out for sure.

 

Just get a set of cores off EBay. I paid $250 shipped for the good p/n LT1 heads, and then paid Lloyd to port them. He then even went to the trouble to overnight them to me so I may have them in time for the weekend to put the motor together. Truely a stand up guy. His knowledge also saved me thousands of dollars by possibly saving my motor from severe damage due to a lifter choice problem.

 

Pay for the cores from LE and when you get your old ones off send them to him for a rebate.
Sounds good but ya better ask LE if he will do that.

 

Sometimes he dont have cores. He didnt when I needed to send some to him. I found some on this board for $200 though. They're not that hard to find.

 

Sent out an email, no response. I've been calling since two weeks but left no message untill today, is he hard to get a hold of or is it my luck.

 

He is sometimes hard to get a hold of, but he will return your calls and messages.

 

He's on Vacation this weekend.... he should be able to get back to you by wed.

Gotta realize that every time he grabs the phone he puts down the grinder during the day.

So I heard!!

 

I am back in town and getting caught up on phone calls and emails.

I had over 50 emails and over 30 phone calls to return so I will spend about 3 hrs a night getting caught up and returning emails/phone calls. It will take a few days to get caught up since I get more and more each day.

I do not answer the phone during the day or I would NEVER get any work done. This allows me to focus on portwork for 10-12 hrs a day and get work knocked out. I then usually spend about 3 hrs a day answering (15-20) emails and (10-15) phone calls. After this I get to spend time with my family before going to bed and doing it all over again the next day. I do this 6 and 7 days a week.

This work schedule allows me to keep my prices where they are and the customers get responded to in a descent amount of time. If I answered the phone every time it rings, production would drop by 50-100%. This means that prices would need to be raised 50 to 100%.

If some one calls and never leaves a message, odds are that they will never speak with me.
