I have comp guide plates right now. I was gonna pull the valve covers and check the alignment on the valves. But I'll let you know.

I had the comps, and just pulled them after about hundred miles, and the rockers don't sit on the valve correctly and rub on the guide plate alittle.

But let me know

I bet your not spinning it high enough either! A cam like that with LE3 heads I would think should be spun to 67-6900rpm on the stock tach! Go back to the track and shift there

I'm going to Norwalk This saturday, It's the IHRA's home track, track prep is always great there. I'll see what she'll do then. Then spray it

On the street is does! It feels like it did when I'd spray the 150 shot. It pulls really hard. Like I said i really think it was the track/ Tires.

Re: LE3/306 install times?

Wht stall (size and brand) are u running? Hopefully a 2800 or more and hopefully a Vig, Edge or Yank with a 2.5 (or more) STR. Some sticky tires and this converetr si good for sub 1.7 60 ft's on almost any car.

You can probably shift in the 6600-6700 RPM range with that cam and those heads as long as you feel lucky with the bottom end.

Other than that, I would go back and dbl check rocker adjustment, make sure TB is opeing 100%, etc, etc, just go through the basics and then get some data logs and try and get more tuning.

Re: LE3/306 install times?

Hey Chad, let me know when you are going on Sat, I am thinking about going and am also chatting to Jay and he is also interested in heading out. Would love to see/hear the Z. I am working on my NO2 at the moment and am hoping to get it in by the weekend and maybe run it down the track too. Maybe post something up on nwof

P.S I was hoping I could talk to you about how you rigged up your Throttle cable, I also have a NO2 plate and am probably going to need to rig the TB bracket up for it to work.

This is like a big reunion

The old throttle cable problem... remember that one Chad?

Yeah my tune was pulling timing @ idle!

Doing some vigorous tuning in the next week. I can't afford to go to Norwalk, I need to get some priorities straight and then I'll be back out to play.

Re: LE3/306 install times?

Stock suspended does not equal stock components, it merely means the stock configuration is used (i.e. no air ride systems, etc...). Does not mean it is not aftermarket parts.
