LE2 on a stock lt1 shortblock

do you guys think i will be fine running an LE2 package with the bigger cam on a stock shortblock? i plan on running a strong top end, but i was just gonna let the bottom alone since it is all freshened up(new bearings, rings, etc.

Lots of people choose that route. It's pretty popular and proven on the stock bottom end.

so does it produce a decent amount of power? should i expect to see a 1/4 time below 12.5? will i have clearance issues using stock pistons with a .584 lift?

you should easily be able to see mid 12s with an LE2 setup. Its probably THE most common stock shortblock H/C package out there, and everybody seems to be happy with it

Unless the camshaft has some crazy duration numbers, no. I'm running .622 lift on the stock short block.

If you can't hit low 12s with an LE2 car, sell it.
