LE2 on stock heads idle vid inside----->
LE2 on stock heads idle vid inside----->
finally got a vid of my car's idle through the new exhaust setup. before I was running an x-pipe dumped before the axle and no mufflers. now I got an ORY to 3" cutout and a stock exhaust w/ 3" Stainless steel rolled tips. I will get a vid of my car idling through the stock exhaust so you guys can hear how quiet this thing sounds.ENJOY

I asked Bret to get me a cam that would work well on stock heads for the time being and still get me where I want to be after I get the heads ported. We discussed getting another cam ground and shoot for some fast cam only times, but more gear/stall will be better off than swapping cams. Also just for ****s and giggles i wanted to see what type of gains I would see with some
LE3 heads. Im still having some tuning issues but it sounds real healthy nonetheless.

Very nice.
Have you had it to the dyno yet? I have my used LE2 cam and supporting valvetrain parts sitting in the garage, just waiting for the time and funds to send off the heads and intake manifold to Lloyd.

Thanks, but I haven't hit the dyno yet cuz im still having problems with the car. my a/f ratio is off for some reason, maybe cuz my fuel system cant keep up or the tuning needs some adjustments. my datalogs show the inj DC are 110% maybe more at WOT, which is why I get an SES code after 4k rpm. also im going to do the heated O2 conversion and see if it helps out or not. The cam definately makes power cuz I trapped 109mph before with lots of problems, so after it gets running right im shooting for 114mph traps in good weather.
Sounds nice and tough!!! The INJ DC @ 110% means you need larger injectors or more fuel pressure.
Easily could be an exhaust leak causing the a/f ratio to be off. Especially under load, at idle the a/f ratio is going to be a lot tricker. You have a full exhaust system?

Bret,
Thanks for the compliments. I had some really bad exhaust leaks when I did the datalog and since then I switched to ORY and stock exhaust w/ cutout. I put some band clamps on the collectors which helped out a bunch, but I have a really small leak on both sides. The car still runs very rough, but I honestly think the fuel system needs an upgrade, and a heated O2 conversion as well. My plans are to get these addressed before Spring Break and make some trouble free passes granted my tranny holds.
