LE2 or LE3 sound/vid clips

Anyone have a sound clip of the LE2 or LE3 cam/head package on their car? I'm thinking very seriously about getting one over the GM847 cam and I would like a listen of what I might be getting . Thanks

I would bet you're not going to be able to tell the difference by sound alone, as I've heard they are very close to the specs of the 847. The LE3 that is anyway.

Re: LE2 or LE3 sound/vid clips

The LE3 is a bit bigger than the 847.. W/ the LE2 being closer. At least in .050 numbers. Adv. #'s are bigger than a CC306 actually.

I've got an LE2 in my car. Uncapped it's pretty choopy. But through my SLP TOTL, it's just rumbly. Can barely even tell it's got a cam at all. But that might be my 1050 rpm setting.

its idling at about 1300, there is still no tune, but when the car gets hot sitting in traffic the idle drops to about 1000, and the way i had the idle set b4 it kept stalling, in case anyone is wondering why its idling so high

Yea i have the heads and cam, the heads cam back looking immaculate, cant tell you about performance yet as i have only about 100 miles on them and no tuning, but i went out with a friend that I used to race with my bolt ons. He used to stay pretty even with me 106-107 traps on the old stuff, well he took off and i kept up with him shifting at about 4500, i asked him if he was flooring it, he almost cried when i told him what i was shifting at.

I've just got the LE2 cam, w/ my homeported heads. Got it a few months ago from Lloyd. Been pretty happy with it. Especially after I spent some time on it early this morning on a dyno.

I just bought some LE heads from a buddy of mine. Freshly redone and made nearly 420rw w/ just a 224/230 cam. Guess we'll find out how they like a cam w/ more duration in the next few weeks .

Re: LE2 or LE3 sound/vid clips

thnx for the responce guys - im pretty deadset on having lloyd doing my heads and cam combo-

car has 100k on motor and was a wreck i rebuilt- she runs strong enough but after sitting at the junkyard i think she deserves a rebuild-

figure some LE2 heads and cam- new rear end with 4.10s - and some suspension should wake her up a bit. now i just need to figure out how to get this all done on my college budget-

I'll try to remember to put my sound video up tommorow, I'll take it at 1000rpm, pretty choppy even at that, mine is le3 cam.

Sounds great! Was that open headers or through the mufflers? I have an A4 and I'm planning on getting the LE2 package. Will I have to have the idle set above 1000rpm or will I be able to run it lower with a tune? Is it true that the idle can only be adjusted with LT1 edit or some other software?

Shawn,

Is that on a stock cube motor? Really impresive if its making that much with such a small cam and Lt1 heads.
