LE2 Heads/Cam Track times inside... and I broke..

DAMNIT.

Just got the car up and running and its down again.

Multiple problems tonight.

The stock 4L60E is finally giving up the ghost. It just can't take the power the LE2 is throwing at it, nor the extra RPM's it seems. 2-3 is holding for way too long, I must be losing quite a bit as it was banging the rev limiter before shifting. One of my new injectors was also leaking at the fuel rail, that probably wasn't helping any.

Anywho, I did crack the following two best:

best ET: 11.986 @ 113.93 1.715 60' (garbage 60' compared to what I can normally run)

best MPH 12.057 @ 114.01 1.762 60' (spun like a fiend)

Track wasn't hooking well for me, that or I need to start messing with the suspension.

As for what broke.

A rocker polylock must have backed out on me, car started missing and clacking, ended up towing it home. Got the car home now and pulled the passenger side valve cover and found a rocker so loose it came off the assembly easily. Apparently the rocker coming loose also makes the lifter loose? The lifter retainer cage for that set of lifters is bent up and the ring around the lifters is just clacking around. Looks like I'm pulling the intake, replacing those two lifters, the cage, and setting the rockers back in.

Oh well...

Anywho, my gains so far have been about .5 ET and 5 MPH from similar weather conditions before, not a bad start, considering all the problems.

Definitely alot more problems to be had when you get faster!

After you replace the 4l60e, then you get to worry about the 10 bolt, lol. Once you sort it out, mid 11s really don't seem out of reach.

supposed to shift 6500-6600. not sure what the tune was set at. but the 2-3 shift was missing really bad. car was revving to 7k on most runs. power would flattline and just go to 7k on every 2-3 shift. im not javier but im a good friend and involved in pretty much every project that car undergoes along with a couple other guys here. go Team Javier!! lol

obviously some problems to work out, LOL but the car will eventually run some mid/low 11's. The problems that you mentioned are killing the ET.

Let us now how the car progresses.

I could hear the 2-3 shift delay when I watched the video also. I didn't have the heart to say anything though. Get that thing back together with a fresh trans and then you'll be flying.

Hey Javier, in your video thread I was gonna ask who built your trans, but I guess this answers my question

I took mine out in the neighborhood the other day, and the trans was slipping a bit on it, and this was on just a shakedown run with no exhaust. I guess I'll be getting that trans and new converter sooner than I thought.

haha yah man, if you've got a stocker she won't take it. If its slipping a bit on shakedown runs, once you get her going it's ugly.

Hey I'll be in TN next week!

And you guys don't have to spare my feelings, I can take it, I was just kidding myself thinking that trans would hold. Thanks tho everyone.

I'm very happy w/ the way the car performed, even w/ all the problems.
