LE2 guys (Injectors and Compression)
LE2 guys (Injectors and Compression)
Stock short block, LE2 heads/cam
What injector size? Lloyd recommends delphi
but If for some reason i decide to refresh my engine sometime I will go to a 383 LE2, but in the mean time ill drive it until it stops on the stock short block. What injector size would satisfy my possible future upgrade without hurting it now? 38lbs?
Also with the LE2's what will my new compression ratio be?

Re: LE2 guys (Injectors and Compression)
Racetronix no longer sells #38's but I bought #37's for my 383, the cam is a one off bret cam and as per my tuner who will be doing it, something in the mid 30's would be perfect, no need to change fuel pressure and over work the injector
Re: LE2 guys (Injectors and Compression)
I am running 37# Delphi injectors on my LE heads and Brett Bauer cam. I am running 11.8:1 on 93 octane. My quench is nice and tight at .039 using the Mr. Gasket 5716. I have Datamaster and it shows no spark retard at all. The thing pulls like a **** and it runs a bit rich. It will puff a little black smoke when I floor it, but the 37# will handle your goals fine.

I thought they were thinner, but based on the comments above, it would seem that they lower compression (thicker?)

Hmmm.. ok, maybe I was thinking LT1 had higher CRs stock. It's been a long time.
as long as they don't cause valve/piston issues, I'd like to try that on my LE install.
Been hunting for something like for a while now.

Try the Mr.Gasket head gaskets. The number is 5716 and should come in at $33 for the pair from summit. The thickness is .026. They will bump your compression up. The fel-pro 1074 should come in at about .039 but are about $70 for the pair.
